It replace my 40 years old Briggs & Stratton, this new generation is running very smooth with lots of power and significant last fuel.

The description says that fits the VP1550 model, well my VP1550 model must to be different. This very good quality recoil starter as 4 holes to mount on the compactor housing, however my compactor housing as only 3 holes. I work on cars for living so it was no problem for me to rearrange re-drill and make it work.
Overall it is a very good quality but make sure you check your mounting holes.
