Centerpiece of our home

We purchased a brand new home, moving from a condo. Not included were the window treatments, fans and light fixtures. So we purchased california shutters for the windows, Fans with light fixtures and next to the great room is a dining room. We puchased some off the shelf ( lowes/home depot) fixtures for the breakfast bar and dinette and wanted something more elegant for the dining area. We were looking for something that would "pop" when you came into the house. We also required a fixture that we could have on at night with an amber glow. When we saw this pendant light , it was perfect. We got the largest one (21") and it is now the centerpiece of our home. We also istalled amber bulbs and a dimmer. So in the evenings the light is left on and it creates a nice mood for the entire great room, dining and kitchen. The only drawback is that it does require two people to install it.

If you have a Sony DSLR - this is a must have for your bag.

I have a wide angle and wanted a longer range for nature shots, sports etc... and i find that I am using it more than my 16mm... Its very light and works as a DSLR lens precisely. You will not be disappointed in this purchase. I use it with my 5n to replace an oldy but goody 35mm Canon F1... I even bought an adapter so I could use my special effects filters !!
