420 drops in total. Good deal!
These sell for $14.99 + tax at Wally's, although the expiration date there is good for about 8 months longer. That's $22.70/oz! If you plan to use the vials up before the expiration date, then you've only spent $14.22/oz here from this fellow. And even I don't think that the extra 8 months of shelf life will make much difference with these sealed plastic vials.
The order arrived by regular mail within ... 4 days after I ordered!
This is a good deal for artificial tears that have no preservatives! According to my ophthalmologist, the Carboxylmethylcellulose active ingredient is a wood product that acts as a slight thickener to keep the drops from running out of yours eyes as quickly as simple saltwater would run. The rest of the ingredients are the 'salt' in saltwater, plus a 'buffer' to adjust the pH to a comfortable level for your eyes. I find them to be a refreshing eye drop to wet my newly LASIKed eyes. The individual dispensers give 6 drops each and they're great for work, because they warm in my shirt pocket or pants pocket, making the liquid even more comfortable when dropped in your eyes. The twist off cap on each vial pushes back on after use, sealing well enough to not leak out into my pockets.
Next, compare with Thera-tears -- another drop with no preservatives and exactly 1/2 the Carboxylmethylcellulose thickener, priced at $11.50/oz. For me, the Restore Plus feels like it has a slight lubricant in it (probably the thickener), but my wife prefers the Thera-tears, because it doesn't irritate her tear ducts. I don't notice any irritation with either. Each person is different.
Good luck! This is a good deal, and the individual vials has a place in my work and home life, just like a larger bottle has another place in my work and home life. Cheers!
