Good value for money, but capacity is 4400 mAh rather than 5200 mAh marked on case
The battery I received is in good condition, with over 90% health reported in Windows after a couple of recharge cycles. However, as is common with cheap chinese replacement batteries, the capacity is not as high as claimed on the case, it is 4400 mAh rather than 5200 mAh. This is ok for me, I have previously purchased one of these batteries and after two years daily use it is now down to 30% health and last just under half an hour. This new battery gives me one and a half hours again with full screen brightness, wifi, bluetooth etc. For old laptops like the inspiron 1520 it is not worth the cost of a genuine battery (if you can even find one), these cheap chinese models are good enough, you can buy a couple for much less than the cost of one genuine battery.

Best budget probes I've purchased
1 of 1 found this helpful Buying budget-priced multimeter probes can be a risk, but these are excellent, very low resistance (less than 0.1 ohms), good connections and flex relief, and fully shrouded banana plugs that fit nice and tightly. The protective caps are essential as these probes are needle sharp, great for delicate electronics work. very pleased with this product, I would expect to pay three or four times the price for this standard of lead.

Display is very good value, but viewing angles are not the best
At just over £20 I can recommend this display as good value for Raspberry Pi projects, it works fine on RPi 3 and RPi Zero (with headers soldered), although you need a short hdmi cable for the latter since the supplied adapter only fits on the larger RPi 3. Set up is pretty straightforward, except for touchscreen calibration you'll need add an extra step after running xinput-calibration
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-evdev
sudo cp -rf /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/10-evdev.conf /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/45-evdev.conf
sudo reboot
The display works in console mode and XWindows mode, and you can easily switch between hdmi and spi modes with supplied scripts on the cd.
My display has a slightly annoying purple line down the LHS, but otherwise the display is very clear.
EDIT: purple line removed by following latest instructions from waveshare wiki on 5inch_HDMI_LCD (use latest LCD-show-170703 script)
