Giving the tuba “voice”
This book contains Bordogni’s solfeggi (vocal exercises) transcribed and transposed for brass instruments, specifically tuba in this case. Signor Bordogni, a celebrated operatic tenor in the 19th Century, composed the exercises during his tenure as professor of voice at the Paris Conservatory. Playing the etudes on brass instruments provides excellent opportunity to develop and improve musical interpretation. And also gives the player interesting and beautiful tunes beyond the usual method books. The book is spiral-bound and well printed with clear markings.
