M5Y1K replacement 40 wh Dell Laptop

This battery worked for over 1 year and a few months now the led front panel continues to blink 3 times then a white blink over and over. The laptop bios is the latest and bios settings show battery is good as well as the Dell Assistant but this battery is not holding a charge.
