The replacement fob is extremely similar to the 2007 Mazda 5 OEM part. I was a bit skeptical of the self-programming instructions (cycling the ignition and opening/closing the driver door), but worked flawlessly on my first pairing attempt. The only additional cost here is getting the key cut.

Quality product, great price

This VSS definitely serves it's purpose. It's an important part because not only is this sensor required to have a working speedometer, the car's computer also uses data sent from this sensor to help control transaxle shifting. This is the same part found in my local parts store, the only difference is that the one at the parts store is $62. Just be careful removing the old sensor, sometimes these can become stuck from corrosion. If you cannot knock it loose and pry it out with a chisel or something similar, you'll have to thread a large hardened bolt into the center and pull up.

Good product

This is the second LCD I had to buy, the previous did not work. Quick and easy fix as long as you are patient and have the right tools. The N5 battery has a board embedded, so be careful pulling the battery, use heat. My screen is missing like 2 pixels, but it works great.
