Disapointed - could not use the gauge for accurate measurements

Base was not milled flat, the unit is rocking on a flat surface Spring loaded spindle has too much clearance and run-out - it is falsifying the measurement

chain mechanism & switch trigger - extremely poor design

The fan in itself is good and works well, but the chain mechanism and the switch trigger is of extremely poor design. As of this writing, I did only test the fan on a temporary setup, and it is not installed in the wall yet. I am debating, if I should return it and find another solutions.
