Excellent product for initially thinning varnish and cleaning brushes

Excellent stuff .... I used it to thin down the Epifane Varnish and then progressively less thinners to give more viscous coats. It gave a fantastic, hard wearing finish that has lasted two winters so far ... previous varnishes were lucky to get through one season.

Good product, but difficult to fit retaining clip that comes with it

The product is good as it comes with the white plastic retaining clip. However, the clip was the only bit I needed, as the previous one and the rotating slider had fell off into the yukky contents of the cassette. Fortunately, the latter part remained in the cassette when I emptied and cleaned it ... not so the clip which disappeared into the sewer system. Pity you can't just buy the white plastic clip. Also, as my cassette does not separate into two halves, fitting the slider, new blade opener and retaining clip via the sealed hole was extremely difficult, very fiddly, exasperating and time consuming even though I removed the seal and it's retainer.
