Poor Quality and Fit. Definitely not for a MacBook Pro.
It's simple enough but, because of the thickness and poor molding of the plastic, a standard drive will be ever-so-slightly taller than the caddy. A shallow SSD might fit better. The metal frame also bulges in places that makes for poor fit but those can be pressed down
The worst part is the mounting holes. The standard mounting tabs are not there and where you will need to transfer mounting hardware, very small shallow screws will never reach threads because of the plastic which goes all the way around the caddy.
For scenarios where tolerance is not an issue, this should work but inside of a tightly packed laptop chassis, research and spend a little more. Don't believe the application in a MacBook Pro in the title.

Upgrade to get Bluetooth 4.0
I’m using this card in my 2011 MacBook Pro along with continuity activation tool to get all the features that come with it. A fun upgrade for a machine that missed the boat.
