Sealed blow by leaks, Boosted line psi. as advertised.

It is a drop in.490 early. Used in 96 Blazer LS 4.3L cid. perfect fit and replacement for .470 factory. You, do not need to ream the bore for a over sized boost valve. Gives correct idle psi. and dose not loose psi. at high revs over 5K. Can red line the engine in all gears if, you should choose to... I suggest as i did, buy the Sonnax HD boost spring also. Gives 10 - 13% more psi. over 5K engine Rpm and keeps stead line pressure as needed.

Lip seal is shallow holding tension spring in place, Only need to put small amount of grease over spring and lip seal to hold spring in place when driving seal in place, so spring does not pop off. As ASE Mech. it is by the book always apply grease over spring on any brand of seal. Would buy again.Pss. always put the little hole in the rubber end facing down. It is a' Weep Hole.'
