Nostalgia never dies
2 of 2 found this helpful I admit I will always have a soft spot for nostalgia. Whether or not bias overrides objectivity is a grey area, but for me - the games of my generation were the defining godfathers ... the great "ancestors" of the game world. Games like Final Fantasy VII and VIII, Skies of Arcadia and the entire Legend of Zelda series bring me back at least every 1-3 years, with unparalleled replay value.
This game is no different, remade and with the added Master Quest, the replay value is even greater for a switch up - while of course having the nostalgia option of default Ocarina of Time. I won't bother reviewing the game itself, as we all know how great it is. As for how it performs, it is great on the GC. I am a fan of the GC controllers and it only took a moment to be swinging out on the adventure again - the built in rumble is a bonus to my old 64 controller for which I had to find the rumble pack and put into the controller slot or find batteries for it.

Underrated
This game has an amazing story and character development. The voice acting is top notch for an English version of a Japanese game. The story will keep you entertained and the mystery will have you wanting to keep playing till the finish. There are some areas of the RPG system that could have been better, but trust me, the positives of this game far outweigh any complaints. The soundtrack is also very high quality.

Amazing value IF on sale - otherwise, buy the 27GL850-B
1 of 1 found this helpful TLDR: Buy this version when it's on sale. If the price is within $100 of the GL850-B, buy the GL850-B instead for the better color gamut, better I/O, and way better adjustable stand.
The good:
+has the same color gamut as the LG 27GL83A-B
+IPS monitor = beautiful colors and images from any angle
+144hz refresh rate for a 1440p (2K) IPS monitor
+great response time even when not using the fastest 1ms setting
+great value when on sale
The bad:
-stand can only be adjusted for tilt and nothing else
-I/O options are very limited
-1ms response time is a marketing gimmick (will create overshooting coronas)
-HDR doesn't look good (it's only worth using HDR on HDR10+ monitors)
-bad value when not on sale and within the price range of the 27GL83A-B and the 27GL850-B
Commentary:
I was originally debating between the LG 27GN850-B, the LG 27GL850-B, and the LG 27GL83A-B.
The GN850-B doesn't appear to be available in Canada, the GL850-B is pricey, and the GL83A-B was sold out. I noticed that a few sites had stocked a new model, which was the GN800-B, and I decided to go with it because it's almost the same as the LG 27GL83A-B in terms of specs but with a cheaper stand. Also, it was on sale for a considerable discount. I ended up saving over $200 by buying the GN800-B over the GL850-B.
I might've gotten lucky, as I've read on Reddit that the QC isn't as good for anything lower tier than the GL850-B model, but either way the monitor didn't have any dead pixels. Note that you will need to carefully adjust the settings to get a look that you like. If you haven't used an IPS gaming monitor before, you should expect a bright glow with vivid colors. However, you should also expect a poor contrast ratio and lackluster blacks / dark areas in games.
The stand can only be adjusted for tilt. I recommend you consider a VESA mount setup if you're going with this model. I'm using the stand for now but I had to place it on top of a box in order to raise the height and keep it level with the maximum height on my other 27" monitor.
