sturdy and easy to assemble
This is my second Caitec aquarium stand. I chose it because I didn't want a wooden stand and because it had a simple, uncomplicated, but attractive design. When it arrived, it was incredibly easy to assemble. It took less than ten minutes and most of that time included laying out the parts. It used no tools, and there were no screws, bolts, or other fasteners. The only small parts were the plastic end caps that just slipped onto the ends of the legs. You just slip the legs into the base, drop the top onto the legs and apply the end caps. Boom! the stand is ready to use. The parts are firmly welded steel, so the stand is very sturdy.
There is only one con. the bottom shelf is too low. It's just high enough for things to roll under and too low to reach beneath and take them out. My plan is to make a solid shelf out of a piece of wood and use it for storage.
Otherwise, this is one of the best aquarium stands I have ever had. If they would raise the bottom shelf two inches higher, I would give it five stars easily.

not compatable with my computer
Came up with fatal error dialog box. I deleted it to save my computer.

doesn't change color
This is an excellent deionizer resin. It efficiently removes all minerals from the water. the only reason that I didn't give it five stars is that it does not change color as advertised. This means that I have to monitor the output to tell when it becomes exhausted. Since this is easily done using an inexpensive tds meter, I only subtracted one star.
The bottom line is that it does exactly what I bought it for, so I recommend it highly.
