Original, drop in replacement
Original part, fits right. Replaced an older part number with this.
Note that this part number is all black (Mine was grayish on top), and doesn't have the decal like the original that came in the lawn mower. Otherwise the size is identical. One needs to use the metal plate that is on the lawn mower and the original screws.
The only difficult part on replacing this module is removing the original cable from the lawn mower and hooking it back up. I end up disassembling the handle gearbox to be able to stretch the cable deeper into the well on the lawn mower.
