Breathless [DVD] [1960] - DVD QYVG The Cheap Fast Free Post

DVD good. Movie has aged very badly
I love old movies, and am biased in favour of them. But this one has not aged well. One of the first 'New Wave' French movies I think it must have had a 'pioneering' or shock value. But this aspect has lost its potency. The acting is perfectly adequate, but serves no useful purpose here. I think that one can only approach this movie from a historical direction, as there is little else to recommend it. Strangely, another 'New Wave' groundbreaking movie has stood up far better to the passage of time, indeed has improved with age: 'The 400 Blows'

LED ZEPPELIN - PRESENCE: REMASTERED 2CD ALBUM SET (July 31st, 2015)
Nov 07, 2020
Led Zeppelin's finest hour!
With this album, Led Zeppelin reached the highest level of sophistication and refinement in the heavy rock genre that they, or anyone else, would ever achieve. This wonderful album achieves what it does not least through the perfect unity of all its elements: there is no excessive instrumentation, nor is there a single element missing. This album has not dated at all since its release in 1976, nor has any other band been able to adequately step into the shoes of Zeppelin since their disbanding. The remastering carried out for this version of the album does represent an improvement, but not by much; the original sound was that good. I cannot really recommend the bonus disk, a collection of oddities that perhaps tend to tarnish the overall impression.
