If you can find a used unit in good working condition...go for it!
3 of 3 found this helpful The Magellan GPS2000 unit is a bit old by today's standards but still offersa ll of the necessary functions that a GPS is helpful for. You can get navigation, coordinates, bearing, compass, date, time, and plenty of presets and saved locations. Used units run very affordable and are perfect for the outdoorsman in those remote areas. Very Much Recommended.

Maybe a Lemon?
0 of 1 found this helpful I installed the sensor and the clip that came with it. When I went to hook up the clip the plastic tab broke on it and I was being very careful...no unnecessary force applied! So there it was hooked up loosely. I fired up my Ford Focus and let it warm up, but the temperature gauge took forever to climp into normal operating range and I knew that after 20 min. of idle it was at the normal temp already. Therefore the sensor reads faulty...reading too low...creating a concern that the engine is actually much hotter than the sensor is indicating...creating a concern that the engine might overheat! This is the third sensor I have tried! Doesn't anyone make good products anymore these days? Save your pennies and buy the Motorcraft sensor right from Ford. I did, and it works perfectly.

Realistic Expectations
Several of the cells were burned through on the rear face soldering tabs but I expected to have things like that since they were sold as previously used. It was a good value for the money definitely, and they produce some good power. BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL when handling these cells though. They are literally like 3x5 pieces of cheap printer paper made out of glass. They are extremely thin and breakable...almost rediculously thin! Probably about 1/64 inch thick. You have to encapsulate these cells when making a panel otherwise they WILL NOT last long at all and use a low wattage (15watt) soldering iron so you dont burn through them.
