needs the mercury compound
2 of 2 found this helpful It is not the same as Mercurochrome. I have used Mercurochrome since 1930's . It worked very well as an antiseptic and a local anesthetic. I don't know how antieptic this ne i but the anesthetic pa rt doesn't work. The lidocaine does't work. I recomend it with these qualificatios.
