Roku 3500R Streaming Stick - Certified Refurbished

Not For Single HDMI Port TVs. Not User Friendly
This was designed by someone who is clueless about how TVs are set up in most homes. Mine are in a cabinet and in a corner. That means I have to move furniture every single time I want to use my ROKU stick. I have ONE HDMI port on my TV. So, I have to disable my AT&T Uverse television service by taking the HDMI cable that supports it out when I put the ROKU stick in. With the help of a flashlight I had to buy for the purpose of finding the port which is not illuminated, I'm constantly plugging and unplugging to use this thing in addition to moving furniture. There should have been an option for those of us without the high end televisions with multiple HDMI ports to have an adapter so that two HDMI devices can use the one port or there should have been a built in switch to facilitate use of our one HDMI port. I wound up buying a Y HDMI adapter on eBay that allows me to plug into it for an HDMI connection that does not necessitate pulling the TV out of the cabinet so that I can get to the back of it. Of course that leaves an unsightly dangly patch of cords hanging from the back side of the TV at all times. I still have to plug and unplug because the Y only allows one device to operate at a time. I pity anyone with a wall mounted television trying to use this stick. Also having to have the USB stick powered from an electrical outlet is insane. I can't be the only one who thought a USB device would be powered by the TV it is sticking into? The current set up means the stick gets hot. Setup was not too difficult, just time consuming as software downloaded. Since I missed a step in the intuitive (NOT) quick set up I had to keep trying until the stick paired with the remote. The only improvement the stick offers over my obsoleted ROKU box is I don't have to use RCA cords to get sound. The sound comes out of the TV without that connection. Even so, I am contemplating putting the old box back in service so the dangly cords will be banished from view and I can switch back and forth between ROKU and TV using only my remotes.

Just what I was looking for.
I was looking for a rod to extend the height of my desktop tripod. The fact that this can also be used as a selfie stick is a great extra.

    These are oldies but goodies
I have had numerous computer systems and various audio chains throughout the years. These speakers have not been topped for audio quality. They are top of the line vintage equipment still worth their weight.
