Lack of precision in manufacture
0 of 1 found this helpful I was really disappointed when I tried to replace the first one of these as the cap did not quite fit onto the clothesline frame as a part of the plastic was too thick and prevented the cap from being twisted/locked into place. Luckily, I tried other caps in the packet and found one that would fit. It appears to be a manufacturing flaw in that a vital piece of plastic has been made thicker than will fit. More than half of the caps in the 2 packets of 6 do not fit properly.
In the photos, the new cap is on the LHS and the original cap is on the RHS. If you look at the inside lugs, the new one is much thicker than the original one.
