Relevant to a topic I am studying
I study epidemics as a historian. I bought this book as a research source for a book of my own that I am writing. I haven't read it. I'm saving it for my birthday.

Excellent history and civics text
This is one of the best purchases I have made on eBay. I asked someone on Threads to recommend a good civics book, and this was their recommendation. America needs a more alert electorate, and I intend to be part of the solution, not the problem.
This is a thick book, so I haven't made it very far into the text, but it is outstanding.

Saw part of the movie & wanted the book
I happened to see part of the film version of this work on Hallmark recently. I study epidemics and wrote my master's thesis on HIV/AIDS, so I was intrigued and wanted to read the book. I found this item on eBay at an outstanding price (in hardcover, no less), so I bought it. I haven't read it yet, but the portion of the movie I saw was quite good.
