Does its job for a very affordable price.
It's the absolute cheapest acoustic bass I've found so of course expectations weren't sky high. Still detunes slightly still but that's no problem. I have only one major problem with the instrument: the metal frets are very poorly filed down on the edge of the neck, so, when you're sliding your hand up and down, it's as if twenty little blades stick out just a bit to slash up your hand and finger(s). Once you get past it, it's easy to get on with your playing.
