Tascam 133-B Multi Image Multi-Track Cassette Deck

A mean machine!

I have been using Tascam equipment for years and this model did not disappoint! This is a well built and durable piece of professional equipment. This is a highly recommended. This machine did exactly what it was supposed to do. It is perfect for those recording engineers who need to record 2 separate mono tracts for video or audio purposes simultaneously or independently. The loop playback works well too. Even great for using it with a high speed multitrack recorder like the Tascam 234 or the 134. I have owned over 6 professional grade machines over the years and this one combines the durability of a model 112 and the recording capabilities of a 234. A unit I would recommend for any one transferring their cassettes to digital media. Elibjr6

Nice mic.

This is a very good mic. I would love to get a whole set of these. It has plenty of bottom end. Really great for what it meant for. I highly recommend this mic and stand to anyone using to mic Kick drums or a bass anp.

Fostex Digital Multi Track Recorder (DV824) (PARTS OR REPAIR)

A much better Fostex DV40 or 360Systems TCR8!

If any of you are thinking of an 8 track digital multi-track recorder this unit should be considered. This is the only unit of its kind that will not only record on DVD RAM but it had it's own built -in hard drive for back up and it can also play and (unlike the Fostex DV40- 4 track model) can record onto CD-R media. With an installed card It can me used with Fostex WAV editing software and connected to a computer using the Firewire, Ethernet and USB connectors (if the card is installed). It allows non linear edits and will respond to Timecode (and with a good "event synchronizer") can be synced to MIDI time code. It sounds great! The only thing that sounds better is the 360Systems TCR8! Which in my opinion is the "warmest" sounding digital recorder on the planet, hands down! So far I have heard nothing more pleasant and tube-like than that! I highly recommend this unit for any professional looking to move from a tape environment like the highly sought after Tascam DA-78HR, or 98HR s. Great unit! FYI- These units can be powered with standard 4 pin12V A.V. 5Amp adapter.
