Great Value And Excellent Quality!
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a great alternative to the "official" Kahler locking string clamp. I needed to replace my original (had it since 1988), and this one looks almost exactly like the original. Screw holes lined up exactly and build quality is excellent! I debated between this one, and the one from Kahler for twice the price. Definitely glad I took the gamble!!

Really, REALLY Impressed!!
6 of 6 found this helpful Ok, so we are all skeptical about a $30 neck, right? Warmoth necks start at $200 and go up from there. So could a cheap neck even be worth the trouble...
All I can say is WOW!!! This neck is truly a work of tremendous craftsmanship. I started of life as a fine woodworker. Worked in a cabinet shop doing antique restorations, dovetails by hand, Japanese joinery, etc. So I know my woodworking!! This neck was crafted by a shop that really cares about quality. BUT, it does have a few issues.. But again... $30...
Yes, you will have to do some final shaping to fine tune it. Yes, you will have to replace the nut with something better (Graph Tech TUSQ or whatever) because this one is cheap plastic. Yes, you will need to work on the pocket if you are fitting it to a fender because this is more square. So yes, you better have some woodworking / luthiery tools and ability. But seriously, all the important stuff is here.
Wood is top notch! All the milling and glue joints are extremely tight and solid! The scarf joint is impeccable! The fretboard is DEAD flat and a perfect 16" radius! The frets are all even! All the dot markers are cleanly drilled with perfect circles (no fill or tear outs)! Again, for $30, you have something incredible to work with.. But you WILL have to do a little work. Not much though.
I agree with the other reviewer who said that he couldn't even buy the wood for what this thing cost. Let alone all the hours to finish it. If you are a builder, just buy it! You will be impressed.
Hope this helps anyone who is on the fence.
