Not as heavy duty as I expected
1 of 2 found this helpful Everything works fine like a Milwaukee tool usually does except that there is some kind of power cut off switch incorporated in the tool that kicks on at such a low torque that you can't use the tool for anything but the easiest and lightest sanding jobs. I was expecting more heavy duty ability and am disappointed. I think there will be other folks considering this tool and it would be great for fine grit sanding and very light grinding but not much more.

Used Starrett works like new.
These parallels were used but the price difference from new made me want to try them, plus they are Starrett which seems to me to be the top of the line with machine tools. Their reputation is still untarnished in my mind. They look like definitely had been used but the fit between them is still perfect, the screws still work like new, and they still slide nicely. I just used them yesterday to set the height of the unsupported end of a round bar in a dividing head to make sure it was parallel and it made the job easier than what I had been doing. I feel like is was money well spent. I don't buy used tools without seeing them too often but it's a good bet that Starrett will be ok.

plastic material with bearings
so far iso good!! It is my first belt grinder and buying these wheels seemed to be a lot more practical for the price than trying to make them. They work really well. The only thing I would prefer is that there was a piece through the center so the inner bearing races had something to tighten against. Instead I am using a locknut and just carefully snugging it. Still am happy with the product.
