Secretariat, thundering hoofs at the track brings the movie home!
Last year I visited some race horse farms in Lexington, Kentucky on a family trip. The history of this business and the elements that go into breeding is facinating. Of course, we saw the statue of Secretariat, the Greatest Race Horse. On a private tour we were able to see the stables and some of the multi-million dollar horses. Keeping this trip in mind, I wanted to see again and own this movie. It is based on a true story. The direction and flow of the movie gives one a sense of the effort and gamble of those in the breeding business. But, the star of the movie is the horse. The excitement at the race track with the thunder of the horses' hoofs in the races, really comes through on the surround sound. The movie is awesome.
