The ultimate Home Theater system power backup!
2 of 2 found this helpful We use a server cabinet to house one of our home theater systems, a security camera system, a satellite TV system and a PC. In the past we've used a 1500 series UPC as a backup power system, but the advent of a much better security system made it to where the 1500 just couldn't cut the mustard without a set of car batteries connected as a backup. Even then we really only have about 20 minutes of power before the 1500 would fail from being overheated. When all of this needed to be replaced, I opted for the much better and cleaner look of a 3000 series Smart UPS. The price point of this unit with a new set of batteries is is about the same as a much less capable new 1500 series with with a fresh set of deep cycle marine batteries supplementing them externally. This makes the 3000XL a no-brainer. The packaging was robust. The product looks close to new. Everything works flawlessly. I highly recommend this!

2 of 2 found this helpful This CPU is supported by the ASUS Z10PE-D8WS motherboard. It specs the same as the Intel Xeon E5-2680 V3. Anyone interested in building a budget friendly extreme workstation can pair a set of these 12 core (24 thread) CPU's (for a 24 core / 48 thread system) and end up with a machine that is comparatively valued for more than twice as much as building a 2680 system from scratch. I have two of these running on this board and managing a Blue Iris HD Camera set, and where I was constantly bumping 100% CPU load with a single Xeon E3-1225V3 CPU with 11 HD cameras, my CPU load now is a cool 13%. Time for more cameras... This is an extremely cost effective solution for anyone in need of an extreme workstation.

Upgrade from 22SI to 40SI
We were looking for an upgrade to our OEM Delco Remy 22-Si (130 amp) alternator for our motorhome and this unit was lust a little longer and required the fabrication of a custom lower mounting arm - two minor challenges - and in the end it was an incredible improvement over the factory underrated unit. With the addition of the remote sense wire, the new setup makes it possible to operate one overhead HVAC (AC) unit running through the inverter while driving down the highway. This means the entire coach stays comfortable and the backend doesn't get hot on a long trip.
