Poor quality, difficult to use, cheap and it shows
1 of 1 found this helpful A very poor quality ballhead. The ball itself is not round and it sticks and comes losoe depending on orientation and/or rotation. The plate locking mechanism is rough and doesn't seat properly. It is also out of alignment by 2mm on one side. When the plate is connected there is a definite wobble indication poor machining/casting. Lastly the tensioner//rotation knobs are strangely positioned at 45 degrees to one another. This means unless you have tiny fingers, they are difficult to use as there is not enough clearance between the two. Overall I wouldn't trust this to hold my expensive camera. Maybe something light weight but not a DSLR. Its cheap and it shows. I think there are much better but more expensive options out there. Definitely not recommended if you are serious about your photography/imaging.

A Great reference and guide for the observer. Star maps for each constellation.
I got the original edition one holiday in the early 1980's. It inspired me and am still an stronomer today. The best part about this book is each 2 pages dedicated to a constellation. With basic facts and observing highlights. Enough for me to want more. Some of the images are a little dated in this 2nd edition, but the star maps by Wil Tirion are fantastic. 9/10 stars
