    Positive worlds
An overlooked 90s classic, this album tends to be ignored due to the pop chart success of the subsequent hit album 'boss drum', but is superior to it on just about every level. This, for me, is THE zeitgeist album from the post acid house era. You can have your happy mondays et al, this album is full of the unbridled positivity and optimism which was so prevalent at the time - a new youth culture, the fall of the apartheid regime - all of this and more is covered with this album. The music production was absoloutely on the cutting edge of its time, and, whereas i'm not one to fall for hippy psycho-babble, its very difficult not to be seduced by the sheer joy and positivity of the new that this album presented, and still does. The tragedy that one of its two creators was to die so soon after its release, and just before the major chart success with 'move and mountain', gives the album an even more intense poignancy. Colin angus decided to carry on the shamen in the wake of sinnott's death, believing that the positive message the album projected was the entire raison d'etre of the group, and that to give up would have been against sinnot's wishes. Very few groups can present dictums such as 'nothing is impossible' and be expected to be taken seriously. Positivity is a difficult force to communicate effectively, negativity is so much easier. This album manages to override the cynical and tap into something empathetic and spiritual, even for the most hardened of skeptics. So bish bosh, top one nice one, get sorted, If you fancy a taste of the post acid house cutting edge electronica zeitgeist, this is it.

    Great price
Works straight out of the packet on my MacBook Pro - a useful extra 250 gig of internal storage space. By far the cheapest price of could find.
