Great value for the money!
Purchased for gift. Great read. Anyone interested in learning how the Supreme Court became the powerful and legislative branch of government should read this book. John Marshall expanded the concept of judicial review to the level of making law well beyond just the narrow role of constitutional oversight it should be. It will be certain to stimulate a discussion about the role and limits of nine people to determine what kind of government we have. Nine people ruling over more than three hundred million. Democracy needs to reexamine the role of the court and come to the conclusion that the people may be better off with a more limited Supreme Court.
