Paint color matching with different manufactureres has been solved!
This book is a 'must have' for those of us who paint and use different paint manufacturers. The pages show a paint color, and then lists the different brands and their color names. Also listed with each paint color, is the shading and highlight color. If the color can not be matched with a particular brand, a formula is provided to make the color yourself. Finally, you can check off the colors you already own! A great tool to keep in your car when you are shopping at your local hobby store for paints. I purchased the 2000 version, however, my fellow painters own the 1997 version. My copy is 'used', which works for me.

Great Beginner's Book for polymer clay with very creative uses.
Having met Lisa and purchasing her most recent book, I wanted to learn more about her personal techniques. This is a great book ~ the pictures are very large and clear, the projects are varied and well written. I am relatively new to polymer clay and I believe this is a great beginner's book. She has divided the projects by length of time which I find very helpful. Her gift projects cover a multitude of ages, and even include pets.

Great, different type projects for polymer clay - take a look!!!
I am very excited to try several of these projects. This book is not your average jewelry type pieces, there are many 3 dimensional techniques shown, a card, scrapbook, a darling tooth fairy box, baby switchplate, just to name a few. I bought this book because I like the style of Lisa Pavelka. I have had the honor of meeting her in person and she has inspired me to work differently with polymer clay. There are a few projects that are not my style, but the technique teaching is still there. I believe this is a great second book for the polymer clay beginner, and a nice addition for the more advanced.
