The Last, Best Mac
The last, best Mac. This particular model can be upgraded with a new graphics card for about $150, which makes it capable of running OS X 10.4. So easy to configure and upgrade. Apple lost its way somewhat after they went to the wastebasket design. Now a new Mac Pro that's reminiscent of this great design will run you five figures. Good thing I'm too old to learn Windows.

A Killer Studio Band Brings Out the Best in Elvis
This is a great document of a very creative period in Presley's professional life. Getting him into a studio with a tight, inventive band helped bring out the tremendous ability we all know he had. It's a great record that will surprise many who haven't heard the more obscure songs. Listening to this, after reading Gillian Gaar's excellent book, "Return of the King: Elvis Presley's Great Comeback," I had to have this, which then led to the purchase of "From Nashville to Memphis: the 60's Masters" box set. There was a lot going on in Elvis' "Comeback" phase, way more than the '68 TV special. This album lies at the heart of it all.
