How far psychiatry has come since the first edition!
3 of 3 found this helpful It is just so interesting to see how the medical specialty of psychiatry has wrestled with trying to hone clusters of symptoms into coherent diagnoses. I have all the editions, and this was the first attempt back in the 1960's when it all started. Finding a true first edition is difficult and expensive, but if you simply want the content, this reissued copy of the first DSM is great.
