Thanks to VIZIO and VIPOUTLET for this outstanding value !
I wasn't planning on buying a TV (my first new TV and I'm over 50) , as I watch all programs via the internet - but when I saw this 55" Vizio for a total of $231+ sales tax, I jumped. Now I like this so much that I'm going to give it to my mom so she can cancel the expensive cable, and I'm going to look for a "deal" on a 75" Vizio for myself.
After popping-on the feet & plugging in the power cord, ethernet, and antenna, the TV did the rest. It found my wireless network without my help, and found 47-54 (depending on the weather, apparently) free over-the-air channels with just the indoor antenna (which I bought from this seller) Besides the "air" stations, Vizio's extensive list of free streaming channels means more choices than I ever imagined. I've dropped my cable, and the savings will pay for this TV in 10 weeks, then it'll be $119 pure profit for me, every month. Awesome.
Picture quality is fantastic - I'm playing a BluRay disc of THERE WILL BE BLOOD, right now - and it's so vivid & clear that it's almost like it is happening right outside my window. Colors are natural & warm, details pop right out almost like 3-D, motion is very smooth and steady.
Found a used Vizio 2920 soundbar on eBay ( $9 plus $9 postage!) & added my own subwoofer, so now it's close to a hi-fi system.
I bought a 47" Vizio for Mom a few years ago, and thought it a great bargain @ $440; she still loves it. So, I was confident that this new one would be just as good, and it's better ! Best purchase I've made in 20 years, I swear.
PS - Almost forgot - This makes an excellent PC monitor; I use it with my laptops & can sit far enough away so reading glasses aren't needed.

Nice for the Price
Very clear & BRIGHT display, pleasant "feel" to the keyboard, and incredibly lightweight. The SSD is what all laptops should have - takes the worry out of bumping or moving it. Windows 10 is interesting, so far - I enjoy talking to Cortana & asking "her" dumb questions. However, the sound is absolutely the worst in any laptop I've owned - one must use headphones or amplified speakers to play videos or music files. Otherwise, it was quite a bargain.

No more cable bills
This antenna was easy to hook-up, has plenty of cable to reach the nearest window AND brings in 52 channels where I used to get only 12-14 ! Even picks up Hamilton & Toronto, over 100 miles away. I cancelled my ridiculous $119 monthly cable service, immediately.
