Excellent as a music seerver
I use mine purely as a music server to my hifi system running TuneBrowser in Windows 10 and controlling it with the Linn Kazoo Android app on my phone. It is just what is needed for this application: small, quiet and more than fast enough.

An ideal media centre
I bought the machine solely to use as a music player. I only listen to music now on a PC running Foobar2000 with a very high quality external USB DAC and open-backed electrostatic headphones. For very best quality this requires silence because the open back headphones let all external noise through, so fan noise and spinning disks are a no-no. I kitted the barebones out with 8GB of RAM, an optical drive for ripping CDs to machine storage and a large SSD. I love it.
