Works as expected
This adapter does what it is supposed to do: Powers up the Dell laptop, and charges its battery. One advantage of this particular AC adapter (Power Supply) is that it has a blue ring which lights up when plugged into a live AC outlet. This makes troubleshooting easier as it provides a visual indication of the presence of power at the AC outlet, and the presence of DC current provided by the adapter which then becomes the input to the laptop.
