My favorite mouse
1 of 1 found this helpful I love this mouse for its looks, comfort, and features. It has a nice, premium texture, and feels much lighter than the previous generations of this mouse. Also, all of the buttons seem easier to click and provide better tactile response. It has two modes of pairing (Unifying and Bluetooth) for versatility.
It does not come with a carrying pouch like the MX Anywhere 1 did, but luckily I had an extra one. The battery life is short, but can be easily recharged with the included USB cable. Unfortunately, this mouse does not support data-over-cable. If the Unifying receiver is taking up the only USB port, you will not be able to use it while charging. I see many people using the Unifying receiver due to its temperamental Bluetooth connection in certain scenarios. Also, if your device is more than a couple of years old the Bluetooth may not even work at all, as it uses Bluetooth "Smart," a newer, more efficient standard than traditional Bluetooth. Granted, the receiver is Logitech's smallest one yet, but it still takes up a USB port (laptops don't have many) and does not come pre-paired with it. And while the product is reasonably priced, the Bluetooth technology is a big part of the cost.
I have owned every generation of Logitech's so-called "nano receiver" wireless mice; this is the first to use Bluetooth. I can finally enjoy a small, but feature-filled mouse without worrying about batteries, burning a USB port, or weight. I have not had this product very long, but I imagine it to be as reliable as its predecessors. However, Logitech curiously lowered the warranty from 3 years to 1, so we will see.
