wont couple securely with american Graco/Titan style hose ends. loose n leaky

Hose ends are not the same as American (Graco-Titan) thread is the same but internally its a thin tiny black washer and flat tube connection. graco and titan couplings are a flare thread. no matter how clean and tightened up I cranked down hose connection sloppy, loose and leaking. Will only work with NPT " not American fittings.
