Automatic Voltage Regulator AVR P727 For Kubota Generator

Pin for pin , it’s perfect, BUT it will NOT control the voltage output of the alternator, some how, someway they have changed values of some devices or values of the circuit. Can’t get a circuit diagram to look and see just they did. But the original from the Kobota alternator was a PA416 . Some wizbange has tryied to copy it and re labeled it as a Kobota part . Voltage is 310 not 240v

AVR P727 just will not control the output voltage.. 300 + no control.

fits into gen set perfectly, cable all fit etc.. BUT it will not control voltage, output is 300v+ and no way can i get it down to 240v?
