Very good gaming laptop
5 of 5 found this helpful I selected this laptop after reading many reviews, and I don't regret my choice. I haven't yet run a gpu-intensive game but I did run 3dMark benchmarks and they're consistent with the reviews out there, so that tells me it should perform very well.
I've been leaving it plugged most of the time so I don't have experience with the battery life.
Fans did get loud during the benchmark but still tolerable. The fans can turn off completely when idle (there's a bios setting for the minimum fan speed bus it's labeled somewhat confusingly: "advanced thermal optimization / disabled" means the fan can turn off). On moderate loads, the fans are audible.
I'm very happy with the display.
One last thing is that the warranty period starts as soon as the laptop leaves the factory. Be sure to register your product on the Lenovo site to reset the warranty to the full 1-year.
