Family values, deep faith, hard work, goals and hope are diamonds which Peter delivers vividly for the reader to find and pursue in their own life.
This book is a snap shot of time between 1900-1950. It showcases two generations of a family, the first striving to assimilate into the new country, the second bestowed the American dream. Family, faith, religion and hard work brought them through the storms in life ahead. Peter Bohaczyk has written an outstanding partial memoir using his family to drive the fictional parts of the narrative. His characters in their surroundings are brought alive as they transport the reader to a long ago setting in one of the small patches of hopeful humanity that populated and formed our country. Peter's research on a coal miners existence, World War II and his personal recollection of a young boy's upper class school days and friendship are just a few of the many pieces that form a beautiful family mosaic.
