Retro-Bit Tribute 64 Controller for Nintendo N64 Original Classic Grey

Great substitute for the OEM N64 controller at a low price!
I've used this controller for a couple weeks with mostly platformers or adventure games. I purchased an N64 recently and most of the OEM controllers had loose joysticks. So I wanted to see how bad they were against a 3rd party controller with a "smoother" joystick action. This controller has a great in-hand feel and is really compact. Button response feels amazing and the joystick is very smooth. It's lighter than an OEM controller which feels odd to start. I recently replaced one of my OEM controllers gears/box/joystick and used some silicone lube. I honestly prefer the refurbished OEM (mainly due to years of using this style) but this is a close second for a low price (<$20). The joystick seems a bit too responsive, which may only be noticeable on games like Goldeneye, but on most games it feels really great. I've been using it on kart racers and Zelda games and I really like it. It seems like it will stand the test of time which can't be said for the OEM joystick. I'd give it a 9 out of 10.
