Hoover Vacuum Rock Switch 440003992

Perfect fit and positive action

Had to pull the failed switch to find a part number. Lots of screws to take out to get to where the switch could be removed without damaging the vac. Hoover doesn't include part info in the manual and couldn't find a replacement part online at Hoover. A search for the part number turned up several sources. Easy order and received quick enough. Hope I don't need to replace it again, but at least it is available if I do.

Bowser Kits are Good

These Bowser hopper kits are very nice and relatively easy to build into a nice looking model. Not as detailed as some current production RTR products: no wire grabs and etc. That said, being a kit, it is easier to make those modifications before assembly if that's what you want. They are nice kits. I have about 6 of them purchased originally as Stewart Hobbies kits and most recently as Bowser kits.

Intermountain Quality

If you know Intermountain, you know their standards of quality in their products. This batch of Southern Railway 40-ft. boxcars is just another example. These fit well into my modeling era, so a couple of them fit the bill for representing Southern with the Central of Georgia and some other lines I model. Durable? Well, these are highly detailed, and the small parts are somewhat fragile, so care is needed in routine handling. Entertaining? Again, this is a model railcar. It serves a purpose on a layout. The entertainment value is what you make of it. Do I recommend it? Yes, I do. It's an Intermountain product, and if Southern Railway has a spot on your model railroad...well, you probably already have at least one, or maybe multiple of these cars.
