I can't imagine a children's library without Eloise
This was one of my favorite books growing up. I would "read" it even before I could read. I still smile when I see the illustrations of Eloise in her bedroom and playing with her broken dolls. Her turtle eating raisins and the face on her pug were among the images that stayed with me during the many years between when I had the book as a child and when I found the book again at age 20 after much searching; my original copy had been given away by my mom (not knowing how much I loved the book)as she figured I had "outgrown" the book when I was about eight. I am giving a copy to my friends who are expecting a baby in a few months and I hope it will be appreciated by all who read it.

God Grew Tired of Us is a "must see" DVD
This documentary - God Grew Tired of Us - is a gem! I am so glad I found out about it and wish that more people could see it. The young men featured in it are inspiring. With all the sadness that they have endured, there is a great sense to go on and LIVE! There are actually really great moments of humor in this as you follow these young Africans through their introduction to life in America. I would recommend it for education in schools and for anyone with an interest in the Human Rights struggle in Africa and elsewhere.

My favorite OMD record released as LIVE version!
My personal favorite, O.M.D.'s amazingly artistic 1981 album "Architecture & Morality" has been re-recorded live, every song, and released in this beautiful 2008 CD. It stays true to their sound of that time period and makes me wish I had been there live. It's GREAT! I want to thank whomever it was who decided to put this out as a CD and if you are a fan of "Architecture & Morality", this is a must-have. Now, that said, I also want to point out that some versions of this CD released in the U.S. have a disappointment, too. Four of the seventeen tracks listed on the CD are not really there(!) - You will need to download them from the internet - but luckily, they are not songs from the original nine song tracklist of "Architecture & Morality". It would have been nice to have had them included on the CD as it does boast of 17 tracks, but in the end, the ones that really make this a treasure are the "A&M" tracks. Thank you O.M.D. for making this beautiful music for the world!
