Original Kenwood KMC-45 Heavy Duty Speaker Microphone Mic for Mobile Radio US

I was not sent a Genuine Kenwood KMC-45 Microphone

I purchased this microphone expecting it to be a genuine Kenwood KMC-45 Microphone. After the item arrived, I discovered that it is a nearly perfect copy but is not a Genuine Kenwood microphone as confirmed by 2 different local Kenwood dealers. Kenwood will not honor any warranty with this, and the microphone audio quality is poor. I have had others listening to me transmit that have stated that it sound like I am under water or am very muffled, even when holding the microphone in my hand and speaking directly into the microphone. Despite all the pretty graphics and logos, the product I was sent does not appear to be a Genuine Kenwood Product.
