Perfect Upgrade for a 1998 Buick Century Custom
I installed these 6 x 9 rear speakers in my old 1998 Buick Century Custom. It took about an hour and a half to do the job. Don't try to pop off your car's speaker grills, they are firmly attached to the carpeted panel behind the rear seat. It's easy though, just remove the rear seat, remove two 10 mm nuts that secure the back rest. The back rest can be lifted up and away. Then pop the three plastic rivets that secure the carpeted panel. You can then withdraw the carpeted panel after raising slightly the plastic trim on either side as there is a tab that is inserted into the carpeted panel on each side. A curved plastic trim tool will be helpful if you have one handy. Be sure to unplug the rear brake light before removing the carpeted panel completely. The speakers each have 4 retaining screws that have a 1/4" hex head. I had to cut my old speaker connectors from the old speakers and solder new extension wires onto the new speakers.
The speakers sound just fine, especially considering I'm using a 25 year old Delco radio/cassette player. These new speakers are rated at 4 ohms, however, the original speakers were 8 ohms.

Got the needed boost in signal
As a result of living in a somewhat remote area, cell phone reception isn't very good. Driving to the top of the hill just to get a signal got old very quickly, so I ordered a refurbished Wilson SB-CC signal booster for my Huawei Vision 3 phone.
I spent some time routing the antenna cable so that it was a neat looking job and so I did not have to worry about damaging the cable by opening and closing the passenger side door. I also had to run a new 12 volt power outlet since the one in my truck was located inside the ash tray compartment and was difficult to access.
I'm very pleased with the amount of boost the device has provided for my phone. It's a very "sleek" unit, easy to mount and easy to adjust. Overall I would say it is an excellent value for the money.
