Big Boy Review
This was my first Rivarossi product in 30 years. I compared it to Broadway Limited and Athern Genesis. Physical prototypical features were spot on based on the real Challenger 4018. Marker lights are non working but front and tender lights have s nice glow that appears to be a realistic effect. The weight compared to both Genisis and BWL is a bit light. If you layout is flat with slight grade you should be ok. I belong to a club with steep mountain grades which became a limiting factor when hauling 25 cars. There is a traction tire Installed as well with a spare which was required to make it up the grade at full power on our NCE system. I did not install the spare. The Lok sound system is excellent and sounds great. The packing is excellent for storage and protection.
