Amazing mobile whip antenna
2 of 2 found this helpful Picks up three weather stations in the 162 mhz band most of the time with a 27-30 mhz antenna which no 5/8 wave vertical can do. With a small ground radial setup on the roof it will shoot skip from California to Georgia on good days. You have to find the right adaptors for low swr if you want to want to experience the potential of this design. Different swr with different power so keep that in mind. It will handle and power you throw at it if set up right. I am going to buy another and co-phase.

You can put whatever amp rating fuse you like up to the 12 gauge rating. I am using two 15 amp in it for my custom uniden cb. This allowed me to take the cb out fast and in another vehicle for a bargain install.
