Quality 2-din mounting bezel for mid 2000's generation Audi (A4 B6/B7, maybe more). Recommended
This is the second one of these 2-DIN mounting bezels I have purchased and the quality is great. I installed in in my 2006 Audi A4 B7, the B6 is the same.
These come split for single DIN stereo application, the bottom half is a stash spot/pocket. The center bar is easily cut free for using this with aftermarket 2-DIN stereos.
This next little section is a bit of scope creep and talks about radios, skip this paragraph if you want to stick to the bezel review.
If you are looking for a recommendation of which stereo and adapter to use, if your Audi is 2005.5 or newer, I recommend the Maestro RR interface and I LOVE my Kenwood DMX7706s (or DMS706s) which has idatalink to match with the Maestro so you can have OBD2 gages on your head unit. Wiring with this set up is a bit of a pain, I have the older ISO connectors in my 2005.5 and the newer quadlock connector in our 2007 audi. I used the wiring diagram for the generic cables that come with the Maestro RR and then I hacked up the OEM VW-1 Mastro harness and mixed it with a generic VW ISO adapter from ebay (about $10). You also have to google the pin positions of your cars harness and match up the front/rear speakers. Generally speaking audio uses the head unit to power the front speakers and then you need a modified low level signal to feed the amplified rear speakers. I send head unit wires to the front speakers and then head unit rear wires to a PAC SNI-35 line level converter which is then fed to the pins going to the rear speaker amplifier. BOSE may require you to use a pair of SNI-35 or similar line level converter.
The PAC VW/audi adapter might be a bit easier to wire up and the both cost about $100, the only real difference is if you want idatalink OBD2 information on your headunit, and make sure if you do, you choose a headunit that is idatalink compatible.
Ok, back to the review on this bezel....
These are "Spiral Audio" brand. I bought the option with soft-touch matte black which is pretty much a perfect match for my b7 and the application was perfect as well.
These are easy to mount, they snap into the hole in the dash once the OEM radio is removed and then when you put your radio's cage in, followed by the radio its self they hold the snaps from this bezel firmly in place but you can still remove your radio from the cage and then remove the cage and this bezel if you would like. The Metra brand which looks similar, I believe once you put it in, it is near impossible to remove without breaking parts and making a mess.
Considering the price, I would say this is a great option, it is the second one I've purchased and recommend the. The only better option I am aware of is enfig who makes a very nice bezel, a slightly different approach and has, in my opinion, a little cleaner finished look. Keep in mind the enfig (google them if you want to compare) is about $15-20 more than this spiral audio bezel
Summary:
This Spiral Audio bezel is high quality and performs well for a good mid price point.
The metra brand... I would avoid it all together.
Enfig's bezel: best engineered and cleanest finished look for about $20 more.
I apologize for the quality of lighting in the pictures, they are hard to capture indoors but maybe these are better than nothing.

Perfect fit, looked identical to OEM, great price
This harness fit my Pioneer head unit perfectly and was very affordable. This was a great solution for my missing OEM harness, I would definitely buy again.
