Born in 1985 and with new belts it’s still alive
The belts were a relatively easy swap in the Sony CDP-302 player. With the bottom case plate removed it was only three small screws to release the drawer motor and remove a small cover plate. The new belts fit perfectly. The CD drawer now opens and closes like new.

They don't make em like this any more
5 of 6 found this helpful EEE PC 901 with Windows XP - I think this is about the hottest 9 inch Netbook you will find. No one is even making 9 inch Netbooks anymore. This one is very small and light but still has plenty of power to perform basic PC tasks expected of such a portable machine.
Pros:
Awesome quailty
Awesome design/style
Familiar Operating System (runs the PC apps you're used to)
Sharp display with 1024x600 resolution, the same as most 10 inch netbook displays.
Great battery capacity. 5-6 hours per charge depending on use.
Large touch pad (multi-touch enabled)
Useful top row alternate system function keys and four large hot keys for screen back-light, resolution, processor performance settings and user defined application start-up.
Intel Atom Hyper threading processor clocked @ 1.8GHz(in high performance mode)
WI-FI - b,g and "N"
1.3M pixel webcam
Dual noise canceling microphones for Skype etc.
Cons:
Keyboard is cramped, you must search type.
The 4GB non-replaceable SSD is a little too small for a main boot drive.
Standard 8GB SSD (D: drive) is slow.
Need to connect USB Optical drive for normal software installation(most all netbooks are this way)
Tips:
Upgrade to 2GB RAM, 32GB (or larger) fast SSD (Super Talent or Runcore), Move the OS main boot drive to the larger fast SSD. You will have a surprisingly guick and efficient little machine.
Get a 32GB SDHC card to use as an additonal drive / mass storage.
Set XP to auto-hide task bar and use F11 in browser to maximize usable screen area.

Cascade pods simply the best
Keeps dishes and the dishwasher clean. Best detergent I’ve ever used.
