About
Inheriting a huge quantity of vintage perfume from my mother 35 years ago, set me heading down a rabbit hole I have yet to emerge from. It is now one of my greatest loves, and I have learned so much about it. I love talking perfume!!

Memorable!!
I recently re-visited this, after first trying at a department store in London, while on my way home one evening. I thought it was spectacular then, but never got around to buying any. Well! several years on I sprayed the bottle I just bought on Ebay, and "WHAM" I was straight back at the tube station waiting for my train home. It is as gorgeous as I remembered. Although classed as a woody floral, it has a bright bold green-ness to it like fresh flowers and tomato stems. It is like a really great cologne! on steroids. If you are looking for something truly unique, try this it has never aged (unlike me) but is still fresh, edgy and just simply beautiful.

Beautiful.
This perfume is absolutely beautiful, with it's huge opening bouquet of carnations, and soft woody dry down. It is so very wearable, and memorable. I love it.

Laundry Soap
I was curious to see what time and a vastly reduced budget, plus a draconian limit on ingredients had done to Coty's once exquisite Masterpeice. L'Aimant, so very like the beautiful Chanel No5 at it's creation in 1927 is sadly now reduced to a thin empty hollow, miserable little thing. It is as if the very life and heart of this once beautiful scent has been sucked out of it. It would now not be out of place in the laundry, used as dryer sheets. Francois Coty is probably spinning in his grave.
